Courses are now accepting applications for the run over 11 weekends from September 2020 to June 2021 or from January 2021 to December 2021
These courses cover a variety of study– ranging from asana, pranayama, mantra, mudra and bandha to the philosophy, theory and history of yoga, as well as yoga anatomy and physiology. Students undergo both professional and personal development and will also cover teaching skills and yoga business principles.
All our courses cover Hatha, the SriMa Transformational Yoga system as well as Restorative and Vinyasa Flow styles,without the limitations of being tied to any particular school or style of yoga or religious concept.
By training with Golden Glow Yoga College, you will have the advantage of being part of a small group to best allow you to gradually build your confidence and establish your own style and rhythm using methodology from both classic and contemporary style. The whole program is geared to Hatha basics, Transformational Yoga system, and Vinyasa flow insight for class planning.
Our training is an amazing awakening and focuses in particular on creating an awareness of the four bodies and five beings of the physical, panic, mental, psychic and the spiritual. Transformational Yoga uses Kindalini insight aims to awaken all five bodies and the seven chakra points in order to experience a continuous state of physical health and stamina, emotional balance, higher mental guidance, unconditional love, faith and spiritual bliss consciousness.
Transformational Yoga is an integral yoga system that goes far beyond just physical exercise. While offering a complete approach to well-being, it takes into account physical, emotional, mental and spiritual aspects of health. It functions on a deeper level to stimulate kundalini energy to move through the chakras, purifying and awakening the awareness.
We also provide a space for graduates to liase with one of our GGYC Head Office Class Organisers if they would like an opportunity to practice teaching classes themselves, once they have reached a Gold Standard with their own practice. This would occur under the Class Organisers supervision.

About your Tutor
Dr Sri Radha Sharon has dedicated her later life to the wide study and awareness of the various Hatha schools and the fun and challenge of Vinyasa flow. Her enthusiasm enhances the teaching mix beautifully, making for the most enjoyable of yoga courses all with the discipline of loving kindness.
Golden Glow Yoga College was founded by Sri Radha Sharon and is accredited as a Yoga Alliance International Teaching School.
Dr Sri Radha Sharon O’Neill BCL Hon Yoga Ph.D. Yoga is a Senior YAI Yoga and Meditation Master, a member of The British Wheel of Yoga, an Ambassador for SriMa Transformational Yoga and Director of SriMa Ireland. Sri Radha qualified in 2006 as a 200 hr Instructor with Yoga Alliance, studying with Marie Quail (300hrs) and Margaret Hardman and later went on to study directly with the Founder and President of Yoga Alliance International, Swami Vidyanand in India.
Further studies in India certified Sri Radha with an additional 200hr Transformational Yoga Instructor Certificate, a Senior Instructor 500hr Certificate and later the Grand Master Yoga Therapy Certificate.
Golden Glow Yoga College Courses are inspired by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother, Swami Vidyanand and also the timeless teachings of Shri Krishnamacharya, an amazing healer and yoga teacher who was the inspiration behind many modern Hatha schools (Ashtanga, Iyengar, Vinyasa, Viniyoga). Our primary influences are Patanjali the Great Sage of Yoga, as well as the awareness of Ayurveda as based on the Samkhya cosmology. Golden Glow Yoga College courses are varied, interesting and challenging.

Cork
Having taught in Cork from 2004, Sri Radha opened her first popular little Cottage studio in Carrigaline, growing for a number of years from 2010-2015 and going forward to win the Best Yoga Studio in Cork award from the Luxury Travel Guide. Later the main office and Private Practice Rooms were moved to Cork City in Plunkett Chambers Business Centre, Oliver Plunkett Street and many of you would have met us there.
Our winter Teacher Training Courses 2017/18 continued to take place in Cork but this year at the Oriel House Hotel Ballincollig Cork for 2017/18 and 2018/19. We graduated our students from the Roches Town Park Hotel in Cork 2017 and were absolutely delighted with the years work. The July Intensive Course 2017 in Cork was held at the Wellness Centre Youghal, many thanks to our dear friend Maria Kirby. A joy to spend the month of July in the sunny South East!
New Intensives Courses ran in 2018 in Galway in Spiddal in February and November and in The Salthill Hotel Galway in July 2018. Due to a great demand we have set dates for a June Intensive at the Oriel House Hotel Ballincollig Co Cork. So lots to choose from. Do give us a call to chat over your options.
The Move to Galway
We have recently opened our new little practice space for Teachers Workshop style classes and private tuition in The Wellness Business Centre, Main Street Spiddal Co Galway as Dr Sri Radha and Peter moved to The Wild Atlantic Way! Spiddal is fantastic and we are absolutely delighted with it !
All Teacher Training weekends are held in Galway at The Salthill Hotel unless otherwise stated.
Our new studio in Spiddal Galway has space for 6 students on mats and is primarily for small classes for teachers in training, private tuition and therapy sessions.Our main office has now transferred from Cork to Spiddal in Galway permanently.

I started practicing when i was 8 years old and wanted to learn everything i could so I was put on the advanced programs. I practice just about every day and its been a huge influence for me. Everyone loves the energy and focus of the weekends. Its a way of life.

It is said that the teacher appears when the student is ready. This was indeed the case with me when I found Sri Radha Sharon and Golden Glow Yoga College. In 2013/2014, I studied the 200 hours Yoga Teacher Training Course at Golden Glow Yoga College with Sri Radha.

Today, I barely can believe that I just graduated as a Transformational Yoga Teacher… It was such a wonderful time to train with Sharon and I am so grateful for this life changing experience, and for my co-graduates ! Onwards to new adventures!
Our courses are built upon and improved every year and are comprehensive and wide in their field. They are designed to create a space of personal development and joyousness around hard work and practice. The work we cover in the first term before the Xmas holidays is very much focused on the Physical Body however we are very much aware that the Emotional Pranic Body, the Mental Body and the Psychic Body of the Wisdom Mind are there always for us as Humans Being and so with a sense our our Spiritual Being, on this course we allow ourselves time to consider these concepts and honour the work of great Masters and Sages as we learn our basics and encourage our growth.
Examinations for these courses are kept to a minimum, however we do have an assessment weekend prior to graduation. We only have small numbers on courses and do so in particular so to be able to keep close contact with the inquiring minds of student teachers along their path. Progress is divided into both personal and professional development and awareness is gauged by continual assessment and encouragement.
There is a requirement for each student to submit a 3000 word essay of an agreed yoga topic of their choice at the end of the course prior to graduation. This gives the student teacher an opportunity to study in depth, a yogic concept that interests them in particular. However it is not a course of show up and get your cert. It is a requirement that all new teachers can perform, practice and teach a variety of Asana, Pranayama and Meditation techniques.
